FAQ

  • How do I enter?

Just click the button below and fill out the sign up form. Hurry! Spots are limited and will fill up fast.

  • What's the theme?
Shhhh! It's a secret. The theme will be announced during the opening ceremony.
  • Do I have to know how to code?
Nope, but be ready to learn! The competition is fierce this year.
  • How much is the entry fee?
Entry is free, but any donations to next years hackathon are much apreciated. We work hard to make sure every hackathon is better than the one before.
  • Do I need to know how to use Github?
Using GitHub is mandatory for submitting your code! Come to our GitHub Workshop on Friday, March 7th or 28th at 1:00 PM, WSU Everett Campus, Rm257.
  • How many members can be on a team?
Max team size is 6. Working in teams would be most advantagous since, going solo or less teammates will not reward you with more prizes if you were to win.
  • But I don't have a team!
That's part of the fun! Forming teams is part of the event, so be prepared to make new friends.
  • When will winners be announced?
After the competition's over, April 5th at 6:00 pm
  • How are prizes distributed?
Only one prize per person. The 1st place team gets the first pick, the 2nd place team gets the next pick, and the 3rd place team gets the last pick. If the top three winning teams have fewer than 6 members and there are enough prizes remaining, the 4th place team will be awarded. As for which team member receives which prize, it is up to the team to decide. So be sure to plan and negoticate with your team who gets what prize if you win!
  • What if I want to be a judge, sponsor, or volunteer?

Then you're in luck! We still have space for additional sponsors, judges, and volunteers. If you're interested, please feel free to reach out!
